ABOUT US
Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church was originally established in 1880 by Mr. Shade Connor of Mount Olive, NC. Through steadfast faith, determination, and dedication, the church was built nail by nail and piece by piece. The first pastor, Rev. Tom Parker, played a pivotal role in laying the spiritual foundation that continues to guide our church today.
Over the years, many pastors and church leaders have followed in the footsteps of our founders, faithfully continuing the Lord's work. We remain committed to that mission.
Today, Mount Gilead is affectionately known as “the little church on the corner” and welcomes those who share a common faith in Christ, strive to live as witnesses to God's glory, and are passionate about building His Kingdom.
