Originally founded by Mr. Shade Connor of Mount Olive, NC in 1880. With unwavering faith, determination and dedication Mount Gilead was built nail by nail and piece by piece. The first pastor was Rev. Tom Parker who was a huge part of the foundation that God laid for our church. Many pastors and officials followed after the pioneers of Mount Gilead, but we have not seized to carry on the works of the Lord.  

Currently Mount Gilead, the little church on the corner, is looking for people who are like minded in Christ, who strive to lead lives that witness to the glory of God, and who are helping and pushing toward kingdom building!

Oh how easy it is to get lost! With everything that is going on in the world today, it has made it much easier for Christians to lose sight of God, and to go astray.

That’s where Mount Gilead MBC comes in. We provide a holy place of respite in the tumult of life. So come, put aside the cares of the week and find yourself in the presence of God. Where we encourage you to keep the faith, and seek the kingdom of God.
